I purchased CloudBerry Backup about a month ago and think its fantastic. Its easy to use, does what it says it will and works well. I love how its a one time payment to purchase a license and not a subscription service like other backup software which i hate. Its cheap too.
A big part of backing up for me is having the backups encrypted and CloudBerry Backup handles this perfectly. Ive had to restore completely from encrypted backup to a freshly installed computer and there was no issue at all.
Ive contacted CloudBerry support twice now for information about my license and each time the response has been very quick and they have left me satisfied. I highly recommend CloudBerry Backup to anyone looking for a great backup tool.

That's a great tool I've been using since 2015. The tool is perfectly integrated with macOS, works pretty fast and reliable. Maybe it'd be not "too easy" for beginners, but an excellent solution for the advanced users.

I got a cheap CloudBerry license from some deal website. CloudBerry immediately crashed after activating my license. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but no luck. There doesn't appear to be any way to deactivate the license to use on another system and the cheap license didn't come with support.
I would have posted a 1 star review, but since I wasn't able to use the app, that didn't seem fair. Overall, poor experience though, so I won't trust my data to this app.

A good number of the 5 star reviews are accounts that signed up just to leave them, and were never heard from again. App requires an installer that does malicious things (run it through Suspicious Package) when it doesn't need to - look at Arq.
I would favor Arq over this as the pricing on this is PER COMPUTER whereas Arq is PER USER.
So if you need to recover your computer on a new machine you will need a new license.
Between shady reviews, malicious installers, and "we'll make this for Mac too" afterthought, I would not trust this with my data.
